FRONTPAGE
THE PRINT WORKSHOP IN HJØRRING
THE WORKSHOP
The
print workshop in Hjørring was established in 1984, by a
union of artists taking over from its previous owner, the legendary
J.C Sørensen.
Currently this union has forty five well known and recognised artist
members.
The workshop is managed by a committee chosen by the artists at
the annual general assembly. The committee also votes on the admission
of new members.
The daily manager of the workshop is the lithographer Hans Henrik
Østergaard Pedersen, who runs the workshop on a non-profit
basis. All profits are reinvested in maintenance and development
of the workshop.
The workshop is a professional and fully equipped printing studio.
We have two offset lithographic presses which can print 60x80cm
and 90x130cm formats respectively. In addition we have a direct
press for stone, with printing dimensions 50x70cm. The workshop
also owns two well maintained Schnell presses, which the workshop
plans to install. On the top floor of the workshop there is an etching
studio with an intaglio press of bed dimensions 120x240cm.
